SELF ISOLATION
(a state or period of remaining apart from others, in order to avoid social contact for mental reasons or to prevent the transmission or acquisition of an infectious disease)
With the outbreak of COVID-19, we’ve all had to make drastic changes to our lives in order to keep ourselves and others safe. One of the biggest changes has been the need for social isolation or “self-isolation.” While it may seem like a small thing, self-isolation can be incredibly difficult for some people. It can lead to feelings of loneliness, anxiety, and even depression. From staying connected with loved ones to finding ways to stay active, there are plenty of things you can do to make this time a little bit easier.
In a world where it feels like everything is spinning out of control, it's important to remember that we're all in this together. That's why I've decided to document my experience of self-isolation during the global pandemic in a photo series.
Self-isolation can be tough, but we'll get through it if we stick together – even if we have to stay apart.
